Left leaners: Is Trump on the right track on anything? Does even one of his appointees so far look okay/acceptable?

Trump is generally excoriated here on every move he makes many of them justifiably. However, he did apparently win the popular vote and holds sway in all branches of government. This implies that some from the left close to center went his way.

Considering all of the above, is there anything at all that the hrot left thinks Trump is on the track for? Is even one of his appointees this far acceptable?

I have little respect for Rubio since he bent the knee to his orange god (small g and small … d).

But he is not the worst possible pick. If they were all like this I would have more of a “meh” reaction as opposed to my “pass the popcorn this is hilarious” reaction.
Agreed, Rubio is the only one that isn’t laughable.

How I feel about most of the picks.

Thus far, I give him an A-, and I would never have predicted that prior to the election.
That he would raid the entertainment industry for cabinet picks. Gotta say I’m in agreement. Slim pickins after every Republican with a spine told us Trump would be an unmitigated disaster though. We can’t say we weren’t warned.

Well, you most certainly cannot. Sleep well knowing your guy is going to f*ck our country for generations.

Most all of his appointments are outstanding to me, except for Gaetz and the "Czar". More women in power positions, and more conservatives willing to take action.

Could you tell us your thoughts on the black members of his cabinet?

Trump himself has admitted that all of his picks his first term were horrible and mistakes (even his VP). What makes anyone think he would have better judgement this time? Anyone supporting Gaetz as attorney general can't be taken seriously.

Well his brain is more riddled with dementia this go around. Usually that’s not great for a person’s judgement, but Trump couldn’t do anything BUT pick lousy people the first go around so maybe it works the opposite way this time.

they weren't the right sycophanties, he's thinks he has found them this time around

I think his selections are stupid and reek of potential corruption/conflict of interest, but I'm not sure why my opinion would matter. It's the people that support the guy that should be voicing their critiques of the selection instead of hoping people that voted against him issue a mia culpa.

Kind of difficult to tell since nothing has happened yet. The picks are.... interesting. I'll leave it at that. I would not be surprised to see Kid Rock and Alex Jones get added and I'm dead serious.

We are told that utopia is mere months away and magas are acting like all of it is guaranteed. The people who drifted over to Trump likely did so because of grocery prices which apparently is the only measure of the economy. I don't see grocery prices coming down anytime soon so I expect to see frustrated Americans fairly quickly. Listen to everything Trump is saying he will do right away. Find where he references his plan to lower prices.

MAGAs are also acting like the entire left platform/philosophy was destroyed with no hope of salvation. It's like Iowa State fans acting like they've defeated Iowa forever because they won this year's game. Republicans acted this way after Bush won in 2000 and again in 2004 so we've seen it before a few times. They rode that smugness all the way to a recession.

23% of Americans voted for Trump. The popular vote is basically split down the middle, not far removed from how it is every single election. There was no mass shift to the right, despite all of the MAGAs wanking it to the election map. Just enough people switched over (and abstained from voting) for Trump to win. The incumbent was punished for high grocery prices, basically.

Ok or acceptable? That would mean I would vote yes for them. Maybe Marco Rubio. Maybe. But that would probably be it. There are probably a few others but it depends on how strongly I wanted to adhere to the "Presidents should get the administration they want" motto because there are at least 3 of them that, for the good of the country, I could never vote yes for.

This is all accurate. But I still want Trump to have his mandate. Let him f*ck it all up and make it crystal clear that MAGA policies are what f*cked it all up.

He could’ve done a lot worse with SOS. Rubio is at least competent and understands world affairs. I just have no respect for his personal cowardice of Trump.

what's the prob with Tulsi? Honest question

She’s secretly met with Assad and based on her public statements holds pro-Russia beliefs. She’s referred to by Russian state TV as a Russian agent.

We don’t need someone like that at DNI. Russians are the still bad guys.
