Why stop there? What if we beat Penn St 31-0, Minnesota 12-10, Michigan 26-0, then went on to win the national championship? Do you think we'd be ranked higher?
Just imagine where they’d be ranked if they’d won the National Title last year, considering all they return!
Just saying I think Iowa is getting jobbed in this poll from BR… I feel like everyone is underestimating Iowa this year
Until they show a competent offense they shouldn't be ranked high as defense can only take you so far

If the offense doesn’t improve, which is hard to imagine, they are underrated.
I was at that game. Offense was abysmal, but defense was nothing to write home about.
If you are Iowa, you have to earn your rating on the field. The so called sports journalists will always second guess us.
Well, until Bleacher Report has ANYTHING to do with a playoff poll, I'll continue not to give a crap.
So let's run up behind them and kick them right in the nutsack.
That would get the message across after about the 5th or 6th time they get randomly kicked in the balls by a disgruntled Iowa fan............

They finished last year at #24, and have one of the highest numbers of returning players in the nation. 🤷♂️
What makes you think that? We had possibly the best defense in the history of Iowa football last year and we’re still not competitive against the top teams, and were embarrassed by a backup QB in the bowl game. Until we can actually prove we aren’t who we have been the last 2 years on offense it’s hard to rank us any higher or at all.
