Liam Robbins

I’d say he bypassed Iowa once not twice. I don’t think Iowa had any interest out of Juco did they?
They definitely had interest after Drake. I would assume we had interest after he left Minny or I’m sure we would have picked up the phone if he called. So I guess I’m making an assumption about the second time. Nevertheless, doesn’t seem likely.

He had the worst foul rate in the B1G last year and he would’ve ranked bottom 10 in the SEC if he qualified minutes wise. Has not been efficient offensively even at the mid major level.

Get that Iowa fans are looking for possible links to transfers and he’s an Iowa kid. But he’s not that good.

This. He’s a plodder. No thanks. Thought he looked terrible in that Xavier game the other night.

He gave NPOTY Garza fits a year ago.
Luka had 33 points on 12-18 FG (1-2 from three) last year vs Minnesota.

So much bullshit posted on this site, abs especiallyin this thread. Thank you, HawkRugged, for pointing out that this particular post was ignorant.

I doubt it will happen, but if Robbins initiated an interest in the Hawks, he is a very talented true center and Fran would be crazy IMO not to listen. So far, he has only had one good year, and I'm not sure what baggage he carries with him. Maybe none if he ditches the uncle.

Robbins had 18 against Iowa on Xmas in Minny. Garza had 32 (11-27 shooting) and 17 boards.

Very good. So how many young centers did Luka tear a new one on his way to being NPOTY? My point is the guy looks fairly athletic, and has some skills. I could see Mulvey being the guy in a couple of years, but I don't think he'll be there next season....

Robbins and Nunge just faced off in the NIT. Robbins with 9 (4-7 FG) 7 boards and 1 block while Jack had 10 points (4-8 FG) 4 rebounds and 3 blocks in Xavier 2 point win 3 days ago.

Maybe, but when he lined up against Luka he looked like a great fit for Frans offense, and he'd be an upgrade over what we have now. Also give Mulvey another year to mature.
The only way I could see this happening would be if one of the 2 young centers on the team left. Even so, Liam may have burned his bridges.

Great, and Jack would have been an upgrade at both ends of the floor for us as well, this season. If Fran can get someone better the Robbins, fantastic. If not I'd take him for a year or so....

Well the scuttle butt makes it sound like Josh is hitting the door. We'll see. Maybe he eventually becomes a D1 level player, but right now he seems to lack the confidence needed to make it.

There are some bigs out there that could really make a difference at Iowa and get more attention here. I am hoping that Iowa can get one of them, or 2 good players if Josh is leaving.

Do you have some names? Finding a big and allowing Rebraca to come off the bench would be great.

I hope he goes. He's a waste of space on the bench. Project on Project.

It's time for him to go somewhere he might be able to contribute one regular basis. Like, say, Cornell in Mt Vernon.

Great teammate. Contributed minutes against Purdue in the B1G championship game. It's time for you to go elsewhere as an Iowa fan. Wow, terrible post.
