Where do you place your sticker year after year?

I don’t know if this is just a Florida thing, but I notice people use all 4 corners, sometimes even the middle of the plate for their new sticker. I’m pretty sure it’s supposed to be placed on top of the old one, so I only use the spot that clearly says place sticker here.

Iowa is supposed to be in the lower left corner. Some people like to spread them around the plate, which I believe is illegal in Iowa and the cops can pull you over for that. They don't want to look at 10 stickers and figure out which one is current.
It is also a test in reading comprehension.

People in Iowa are bad enough, but when I lived in North Carolina, it was even worse.

Texas doesn't do license plate stickers for cars (still do for motorcycles and trailers). We have windshield stickers - placed where the inspection sticker would've formerly gone. They went to electronic tracking of inspections, and now they've done away with those.

Scrape the old one off then replace with the new. Lower left.

For a while I used to just plop over the old one, but the really old stickers eventually wore down enough that there was danger of the whole stack coming off.
