Greetings all,

I'm sure this has been discussed over the past couple months, but assuming Spencer Lee is able to compete this year (looks great in the videos a couple of you have posted), could someone provide me our likely - as likely as possible - starting lineup for the fall?

Big thanks! :)

Hope everyone has been having a good off-season!

125 - Spencer Lee's Knees
133 - Schriever
141 - Woods
149 - Murin
157 - Reyna/Rathjen
165 - Kennedy
174 - Nelson/Swafford
184 - Assad
197 - Warner
285 - Cass

Not a lot of data on wrestlers with two ACL repairs and one being the second time. Those on here saying he will be good to go by March are talking out of there ass cause Spencer, Brands, trainers, and the Dr’s probably don’t even know at this point. I like the optimism and he may very well be ready to go by March, but it may also take longer.

Have you seen the video of him hitting his fireman carry? I know it's an instructional video but he's moving really well.

Have to figure Lee won’t be ready til 2nd semester. Might be a chance he just takes his RS.

There might be a chance he's ready to go earlier. Maybe. It is possible, or not. But also there's a shot that he will but potentially he won't. Depends on fortune--good or bad. It just depends, really.

(Speaking of people talking out of their ass.)

Lol I’m glad I wasn’t the only one hearing words being formed by his anus. Lol

He's ahead of schedule. He'll be wrestling the entire 2nd semester.

Just for a frame of reference:

His first ACL Surgery was done March 28, 2017. His first competition was the UNI open Dec 09, 2017.

Roughly 8 months and 2 weeks from surgery to first competition. And looking the healthiest we have ever seen him yet, I might add.

Obviously with the double ACL this time, all things are not equal and we can probably expect the timeline to be a little longer from surgery to first competition.

His surgery was early January this year, couldn't find exact date. If we use Dec 09, as a "target date" that is roughly 11 months from surgery to first competition - about 2.5 months longer the 2nd time around. He could take longer, yes, but I wouldn't be surprised to see a similar return to action schedule for Lee. Some people are just rehab freaks.

His surgery was early January this year, couldn't find exact date. If we use Dec 09, as a "target date" that is roughly 10 months from surgery to first competition - about 1.5 months longer the 2nd time around. He could take longer, yes, but I wouldn't be surprised to see a similar return to action schedule for Lee. Some people are just rehab freaks.
One thing we know about Spencer is he is a freak. Generational animal.
Not only a world class athlete but a world class person.
His character is bigger than his athleticism.
So glad he chose the Hawks so we could experience having him on the home team.

Spencer is walking around the gym and doing pull ups with 140lbs dumbbells between his legs. He will not only be ready but he is in the best shape he has been in since he got to Iowa.
Now there’s a coincidence. I happen to walk around permanently with a 140 pound dumbbell between my legs.
