Upmeyer is the majority leader in the House of Representatives, and she seems to be publicly dissing Terry Branstad in the first week of the new legislative session. Very tepid comments about his budget and his proposal to shift money from schools to water quality improvement projects.

She sees Branstad's plan to finance water quality as an admission of error by farmers. She believes it is cheaper for all concerned to have the DMS Waterworks pay for purifying their own water. Ans that is what all GOPers like....cheap...unless it involves some crony capitalism to finance the "job creators",,,and supporters of the GOP.
