I was critical of the lines last week. Didn't think they played particularly well in the 2nd half against Maryland.
Today we got back to who we are. Offensive line was solid the whole game. 230+ rushing yards is absolutely huge and no team can beat Iowa when we put that kind of number up. They were also MUCH better in pass protection. We all know Indiana's defense is pretty weak but it was just good to see the oline play well and dominate.
Dline, pretty rough in the first half but I do think Indiana's offensive line is pretty solid. But I will give our dline big credit. Made the adjustments at halftime and the front four played a solid technical second half and cut down the seems for Howard to run. And anytime your middle linebacker is flying all over the field and piling up 15 tackles, your dline is doing a great job of keeping him free to do so. It was dominating by any means. But it was solid and with our back 7, that's what we need.
This is a very good football TEAM. We mIght not have the individual talent of a couple of the big boys, but I'll argue anybody that collectively we can play with any team in the country. Now just focus and clean up the little details and get the pig back!
