Lisa Bluder is at 819 Wins. 4th Most Among Active Head Coaches. Became the 18th WBB coach EVER to reach 800 wins

She is 8th place for active coach and 18th over all it looks like. Wow 37 years for Bluder.

Double Wow Vivian Stringer 50 YEARS. 😳 time to retire wouldn’t think?

Also Bluder has now tied Vivian Stringer for most BIG wins in a career. With Viv's health issues it's not a given she'll be back on the sideline. Bluder has a chance to run away with career wins. I will say however, that the BIG is beginning to return to where it was in the 90s as a conference. Talent level is going up across the board thanks the impact of the BIG network. Also bringing MD/Rutgers into the league elevated the league's street cred and has injected life into other programs. If Michigan, Indiana and OSU and even Iowa can maintain their national rep and keep bringing in the players this league is going to be crazy.

I've been critical of Bluder in the past, but somehow she always proves me wrong. It's not perfect but you can't argue with the results.

The way the Big Ten counts Conference victories (and stats) has always struck me as odd. The Big Ten does not count BIG tourney wins as conference victories. Are they noncon victories? Makes little sense. Including BIG tourney games, Lisa is 20+ BIG victories ahead of C Viv against conference teams as of date of game.

I really thought I had to stop drinking until I caught that the original was from last year and was edited at one point.

I caught it, eventually, don't have to stop drinking.

sorry for the confusion

When she hit 819 career wins at the end of last season, that ranked 4th among active head coaches.

With 6 wins so far this season, she now stands at 825 career wins

and as mentioned in the tweet above, with yesterday's victory, Coach Bluder tied C. Vivian Stringer for the most B1G regular-season conference wins with 233.
