Little Debbie has lost 4 or more games in a season 21 Years in a Row (2004-2024). Had 8 yr Drought (Oct 15, 2016-Nov 23, 2024) of a 6 win season

As much as I'd like to see that trend continue, none of the teams remaining on Nebber's schedule are juggernauts. With the right prep and attitude ... I think that the Huskers could win any one of them.
Debby is not a juggernaut either and last season proved they could choke four games in a row to miss the bowl season. I think they could lose their remaining games. It's damn near a tradition.

November 2, 2024 Update:

Hey, don’t besmirch Little Debbie. She makes some fine products. Mini-donuts. Apple pies. To name a couple. Far superior products than what Nebraska football is putting out these past two decades.

I didn't say good. I said 8-1. A made FG vs Illinois, and not turning over on downs late (within the 10) against UCLA gets us to 7-2. And we were as close to beating OSU as we were to losing. Even Iowa fans here knew that Nebraska was getting jobbed by the refs in the OSU game. That doesn't mean good, but winning a football game on a certain day doesn't = good. You should recognize that if you're over like 8 years old.

For 21 straight years, your ceiling has been 9-4 or 10-4.

After today's 27-20 loss to UCLA, Little Debbie (5-4) has now lost 4 or more games in a season 21 YEARS in a row.

Frank Solich (Bo Pelini coached the bowl game?) went 10-3 in 2003. That team was ranked as high as #10 in the country.

Here is a look at the 21 years since that 10-3 season in 2003:
..........................................
Bill Callahan (4 years)
2004: 5-6
2005: 8-4
2006: 9-5
2007: 5-7
..........................................
Bo Pelini (7 years)
2008: 9-4
2009: 10-4
2010: 10-4
2011: 9-4
2012: 10-4
2013: 9-4
2014: 9-4
..........................................
Mike Riley (3 years)
2015: 6-7
2016: 9-4
2017: 4-8
..........................................
Scott Frost (4.25 years)
2018: 4-8
2019: 5-7
2020: 3-5
2021: 3-9
2022: 1-2 (fired on Sep 11, 2022)
..........................................
Mickey Joseph, Interim Head Coach (.75 year)
2022: 3-6

Matt Rhule (2 years)
2023: 5-7
2024: 5-4

Bo was a moron on the sidelines, but he won.

That's fair. The debster is definitely NOT a juggernaut either.

However, when their passing game is clicking ... they actually look good.
Furthermore, their D has stretches were they play inspired ball too.
Of course, their special teams are only "special" in the basest sense.

Overall, they seem to have significant trouble consistently playing at a high level.

Not gonna lie, I'd take that for the next 6-8 yrs if it meant replacing Kirk with someone who provided entertaining high-octane offense.
LOL!!

No you wouldn’t. You just described the basketball team that nobody goes to watch.

Also, I’d much prefer the offense I just watched stuff Wisconsin’s balls up their own ass, than some “high octane” offense. There is absolutely nothing better than running the ball every play, and there is nothing the defense can do about.

I wouldn’t trade watching Iowa do that for any other style of ass beating. Just a masterpiece.

You’re still riding the high of that last game…which right now is an outlier

We can revisit this topic after the season is over.

The outlier game is the one where the scores 40 points ? My dude, Iowa has scored 40 points in 100% of their home conference games. All of them. Do you know what an outlier is? Good Lord. Are you paying attention to the season at all?

We can’t revisit it after the season. You may have forgotten how to feed yourself by then.

Grandpa, what was it like when Iowa secured yet another 8-4 season by losing to Nebraska 45-40?

I’ll never forget it, young man. It was a crisp autumn day…

Also, Iowa holds a 13 match winning streak over Nebraska in wrestling. All-time something like 38-10. The Huskers do have an outstanding WVB team.

The two teams in the B1G that are head scratchers are Nebraska and especially USC. Both of those teams have far better talent than their records indicate. I'm not a fan of either

I've watched USC a few times, and even with a decent lead, I'm wondering how they're going to blow it. Lincoln Riley teams are clueless on defense

In fairness to Nebraska, I think they could be really decent in the next few years especially if Raiolla (sp?) stays. They gave OSU a heck of a game earlier this year and actually had a 4th quarter lead against the Buckeyes

And the season after he brought in some new and better DC at USC. Lincoln should fly to Phil Parker's house and crate 10 mill on his lawn and beg like a 5 year old.

So.... How many years having people been saying all of this? Best 5-4 team in the country. Amiright?

Not arguing at all but my point is they have the talent to throw a monkey wrench into a top team's season......although most of the time both Nebraska and especially USC underperform. I never bet on either - for or against

Nebraska has always had the talent to do this, and the last time they did it, Obama was still living in the White House.

I just hope it's not Iowa. I don't really care about anyone else, but it would still be glorious if Nebraska loses out and misses a bowl after starting 5-1 and then losing 6 in a row to finish the year.

Typical Neb nonsense. Everybody here see's all the stupid comments that come from Husker land every year about "this is the year", and then when it doesn't happen you all try to walk it back. And for the record YES I'm a proud Hawkeye, but I haven't lived on "that side of the river" in 35 years. Make what assumptions you will. NO one here gives a damn, one way or the other.....
OK why don't you show me my posts then? WTF are you even talking about.

Well if Iowa loses on Black Friday they'll still have the Wisconsin win, meanwhile Indiana is showing us both how to get it done.

Who's the tallest midget arguments have no lure for me, enjoy all.
