I always hope for a nebby loss. It will be even sweeter if they go into the Iowa game needing that one for a .500 season and bowl eligibility. To deny them that 6 win season would be the highlight of Hawkeye football this year.

Crazy how they were sitting at 5-1 with 6 game to go.
They currently are on a 4 game losing streak. It could end up being 6. They host Wisconsin next week and then are at Iowa.

I hope Hawk fans don't come back to this thread and eat a big ass serving of crow. We have won one more game than Nebraska, 6-4 vs their 5-5. Iowa is fully capable of going 6-7 after playing in their big, post season, irrelevant toilet bowl. Nebraska could go 8-5 and come into Iowa City looking like an NFL team and playing an Iowa team that looks like Iowa City West High. No offense West High!

I'm telling you now, if little debbie comes in to Iowa City with 5 wins, it's going to be a very very ugly game. We denied them a bowl birth last year, so they'll be gunning for it on black friday. Let's just hope the Hawks are ready for it.
The implication here is that it will not be an “ugly” game if Nebraska is already bowl eligible. It’s a rivalry game so I expect it to be intense no matter what.
If anything, I expect it to get extra ugly in Lincoln this weekend if the Huskers lose to Wisconsin at home for their 5th consecutive loss where bowl eligibility is on the line. That team might be a royal mess arriving in Iowa City.

The streak is impressive for sure. Almost every loss was, for the most part, self-inflicted - a few in spectacular fashion.
I'm afraid this is a very likely scenario as they're vs WI at Lincoln this weekend. Though that game might be a toss-up at this point.
