Good afternoon from Key Arena in Seattle where the Hawkeyes will look to move on in the NCAA Tournament when they face Gonzaga.
Shocking, I know, but it's raining out here.
Reminder that the game is on TBS for those who are not aware.
Gonzaga is 2-4 in NCAA games against Big Ten teams. Last time they faced a Big Ten team in the tournament was in 2012 when they were a 7 seed and lost to the 2 seed, Ohio State. They also lost to a 7 seed in Indiana back in 2007 when the Bulldogs were a 10 seed.
Maybe some Big Ten karma today for 7 seeds with Michigan State knocking off Virginia.
Iowa will technically listed as the road team as the 7 seed vs 2 seed. Should be in the road uniforms. Will be appropriate since this will essentially be a road game.
Talked to a few UNI fans out here this morning and they said they will be rooting for Iowa, so I guess that answers the question posed this week.
Also, talked to a guy selling tickets outside and he said they are selling for 200 bucks a pop. Tough ticket today.
