Hopefully they can bring them both in.Yeah I wonder if they tell Farniok and Jackson on their visit that whomever commits first gets the spot.
Hopefully they can bring them both in.
Are they still actively recruiting Swan?
I really like this class. If they could add Jackson and Farniok I would really, really like this class.Iowa would take both, gladly. Coaches know players leave and probably know more are leaving, possible early enrolled albeit slight on that front.
Not true if any of the current commits can come into Iowa early and count against the 2015 class. I have not heard any names but we did have Daniels come in early last year. Doubt we would be pursuing both unless there is something we don't know. They can only take one unless someone decommits because there are no early enrollees.

The decision to enroll early would already have to be made. Classes usually start the Tuesday after MLK Day, which would be Jan 19 this year (next week).
Taking a current commit and turning him into a gray shirt is the route they would have to take to take both Farniok and Jackson.
This is true, several big ten teams have signed more than 25 in the past.....the SEC is a whole different beast Tennesee signed like 30+ several years in a row. Long story short if they both want to come we take them bothHere's the deal, if Jackson and farniok both want on board. They will be. Iowa won't say No to either.
Yeah yeah, there's a 25 man limit. Ways around it, gray shirts, guys flipping, transfers (yes I don't doesn't change the limit), it can get sorted out.
BIGGEST POINT: Technically, allowed to over sign by 3 to account for future transfers or attrition within classes

Isn't Jackson an Iowa lean? ...it sound like he'd already picked Iowa and it's a mere formality until his visit.
I'm pretty sure Iowa won't end up with either... Jackson is a Michigan State lean and it sounds like Farniok is all but a Nub lock at this point, 78% crystal ball according to TOS.

I could see both of those scenarios play out, but I wouldn't put much stock into Crystal Ball; it's pretty worthless.
Have to think Ferentz has a good feeling on at least one of those two guys or he would have offered Foster or was waiting for an Iowa offer. Once KF called him last week and told him that they weren't going to offer that told me Jackson or Farniok are going to end up in black and gold.
Foster was NEVER coming to Iowa. No matter what happened with other recruits. Just cause he has that glorious 4 star does NOT mean he was next or ever was.
They told him months ago that an Iowa offer would not be coming. They were told this after BF went and personally evaluated him in the offseason. Iowa brought in and evaluated other OT prospects after that. They identified Farniok and Jackson as the two they would invest the most time in trying to get. BF visited Farniok last week and a couple of coaches will be visiting Jackson this afternoon. Jackson leaves for IC tomorrow at 3pm.What makes you say that? Obviously Foster would have preferred to go to Iowa. I'm guessing Iowa would have shown some interest if they were still in the market for a tackle and Farniok and Jackson were completely out of the picture.

He camped at Iowa multiple times. Came to Iowa on his own dime multiple times. The Iowa coaches evaluated him multiple times. Iowa did not think he fit, that fact doesn't change by other targets saying yes or no. Iowa had multiple opportunities to offer and most likely get a commit. Wasn't happening. From all indications, Iowa hasn't even been in contact for months.
This relstionship was over a long time ago. Again, just because he's highly ranked, doesn't mean he's guarenteed to fit. Other "power" teams sure agreed with Iowa.
