Lombardi in for MSU

Looks like he's got a big arm and has overthrown at least 3 balls in the first drive.

As a Valley parent whose kids have gone to school with Rocky and Beau, I’m rooting for him. Tremendous young man. Was never sold on him as a D1 QB, but I sure hope he succeeds (and that he never beats the Hawks, of course).

To get a glimpse of his character, you need to look no further than his state championship wrestling match his senior year.

Wasn't his Dad on here trying to rub it in after he committed to MSU? Seemed to be holding a grudge against us? Did we offer his younger brother?

Type of family he's from, not surprising he'd go play for a dbag coach at Rape U.

Didn't see this thread. Could have saved myself some effort.

His dad is a first class dick. We didn't want anything to do with his dad.

Agree great family, great character. That's why it's surprising he'd go play for a dbag coach at Rape U.
Great family? Great character? LMAO. His dad is a first class dick who has had 'character' issues for a long time. I know a coached that worked with him as a grad asst. and said what a prick he is. He had problems in Chicago in HS coaching, problems in Cedar Rapids coaching, and I had to deal with him and his wife in sales and they were both pompous asses.

Yeah, Lombardi’s dad is apparently an ass. Never heard anything good about the guy here in the Des Moines area. Rocky may very well be a fantastic kid.

That's why I avoided saying anything about the kids. I don't know them, they may be good kids, but I have met his parents and many, many others who have had to deal with them.

His dad was a major jerk but I saw his kids compete a lot and coached against them in wrestling and both boys never showed any sort of bad sportsmanship. They were very respectful. I wouldn’t judge the kids on the dads behavior or personality

Wow — that was weak.

I’ll assume you know Rocky? If so, it’s a very different Rocky from the one with whom our kids have grown up. Based on the many years our kids have gone to school together, I know nothing but positives.

I'll take it!

On the other hand, he did presumably strap on his helmet with the rest of the team like he was looking to start something during that walk.

Frankly, everyone and everything that would choose to associate with that cesspool of a program can suck it.

Used to coach at Hinsdale in Ill. That may explain the connection with MSU as the Allen brothers all played there.
