DT Bazata replacement Matt Nelson
LEO Nieman look for his younger brother to step in
WLB Bower Mends or Hockaday if healthy will take his place
SS Taylor will Hooker move here if Snyder come back fully Healthy?

thoughts on your picks to replace the out going players? yes it is early but considering the losses this team is in a better position to replace them than in the past.

Jewell and Wadley hurt. Those are the leaders of this team.

Next year will be time for Stanley to step up while K-M gets comfortable as a leader.

I predict in the secondary will stand out next season and take pressure off the LB's. Rugamba or Jackson...either could become shut down corners and ease passing pressure, a lot.

the RB I screwed up on was supposed to be Kelly-Martin

as for Welsh he was supposed to be the starter at LG and at 6'3 is a little short to be playing Tackle, with Wirff at 6'5 315 lbs he fits the mold of a tackle, who knows Render may move back to LG and Levi Paulsen who will be a RSJR may get the nod at RG,
either way the coaches will have more options than have had in the past. to me Iowa have been getting more OL that don't need 50-70 lbs to be added to be ready to play.

Hockaday was rumored to be moving to the WLB position as Welch and Taylor were looking pretty solid at the MLB, this why Garbutt transferred out.
Nic Nieman was a true LB in school vs Ben who was a WR, and has been looking real good,

but this is why I asked for opinions on who people liked, Mends has passed Jones and to me Hockaday if he can get fully healthy can play the WLB and the MLB spot and give quality depth.
