Loss doesn't look so bad now.....

The Pedd State loss still looks horrible. It shouldn't happen to a senior lead, #4 ranked team in the country. That being said, we have to LOVE what the Gophers did, last night!

Better we won at home against gophers and lose at Penn state on the road, but yeah the loss was just a shame with the way we coulda grabbed conference by the throat instead of having to fight it our each game coming up. It will keep it exciting and I'm still smiling, go Hawks

Helps take the pressure off the hawks Even last night BTN was running the highlights of the game (IA vs PSU) and talking about it. Now I am sure all the focus will shift towards Maryland. I mean this is a team who was Expected to win the BTT outright and not really be challenged. They were comparing them to Wisky last year and here they are struggling. I don't know w/out Stone if that caused it, but they have not impressed me at all. Look at their last few road games and you see a team that struggles on the road.

I didn't like Iowa losing, but I think it will re-focus them and help them in the long run. They have 4 TOUGH games coming up and they will need to bring it every night. Even after the bonehead loss to PSU, Iowa still can win the thing! Have to take it one game at a time, can't afford any slip ups.

GO HAWKS!

For those of you complaining about Iowa's players regressing, it should also make you feel better that preseason POY candidate Melo Trimble looks like absolute sh*t out there recently.

We can't go an entire season without a bad loss. Now we have one - hopefully it's the last! I'd much rather lose a February game to PSU than a March Madness game to Northwestern State or something.

You can say "everyone has a bad loss now, so Iowa is not so bad", but go look at the standings and change Iowa's loss to PSU in to a win and see what a huge difference that would make. We would be a game ahead of IU with a chance to make that 2 games all by ourselves and already be ahead of MD by 2 games. Leaving the rest of the conference in our dust would have been so nice!!! Being greedy, but why the hell not, Iowa has not had many chances at B1G title in last 25 years, so lets do this.

Every top team in the big has had a bad loss.
Minnesota is a much better team than their record indicates.
PSU is always tough at home. They knocked off Michigan, IU and Iowa.
Pre-season rankings and predictions don't mean shit!
Iowa fans have always over reacted to wins and losses. That is just our genetic makeup.
We are loyal passionate fans. Nothing wrong with that!

Don't kid yourself, I was pissed that we lost the game and our best player laid an egg.
Shit happens!

I'm thrilled that we are tied for first place and we control our own destiny.
This has been a crazy year in college basketball and I'm going to enjoy the ride.
Win or lose, these guys bust their ass and represent our university with class.
That is all you can ask as a fan.

It was still a bad loss.
Terps going down makes the point that it is all relative.
The 2015-16 Iowa men's b-ball team doesn't have to be the best ever. And they aren't. They just have to be better than the competition.
Maryland playing a crap game keeps the Hawks in the picture. It also gives other teams hope that the league winner may have 5 losses(I'm looking at you sparty)

Makes me think of the joke about the two guys when they hear a bear approaching and one is quickly putting on his running shoes. The other says, "You can't out run a bear". He says, " I don't have to out run the bear. I just have to out run you."

I just wish we had that killer instinct. Knowing that we can and should beat every team in our path and once we grab the lead, finish them off with an extreme "no prisoners taken" mentality.

Yeah, looked like they needed Stone to tackle a couple of guys and bash their heads on the floor.
