Loved when Jok went into assassin mode

I was saying @ half that I wanted him to take the 1st shot of the 2nd half. Sure enough he drilled a 3! Then it was game on. There's not a better shooter in CBB.

I don't recall a Hawkeye that has wanted to shoot the ball as much, especially in crunch time, since Matt Gatens. He is a fearless shooter who thinks they all go in. I love that.

We are beginning to see a very versatile game from Peter. Knack for the ball on defense as well. Think he will be a 20 ppg scorer next season.

Truly a pick your poison between Uthoff and Jok. When both guys are on there are few teams that will be able to keep up with Hawks.

The work Jok has done on the D side is amazing. He's gone from a huge liability to a big asset. He's a gambler and shoots the passing lanes much as Whitey did. His quick hands impact dribblers.

Another plus is he's becoming a rebounder.

Peter and the seniors are teaching the kids what kind of effort it takes to win. While I expect a big drop off next year I like our future.

I actually don't think there will be a drop off at all next year. Peter, uhl, baer, williams, moss, hutton, jones, cook, wagner, flemming, ellingson. Will be raw, but the talent o,efor sure there and should be able to continue it. We will definitely miss the seniors, but i think the young guns will keep it up. Jok is the next in line of 1st team big 10s next year after gatens, marble, white and uthoff. When was the last time iowa had 5 straight 1st team all big 10s.

Pete is awesome to watch, and I agree that "assassin" is pretty accurate. The kid has guts. Man, has he hit some clutch shots this season, and today's were fantastic. He did, indeed, put the dagger in the Wolverines.

But how about Uhl, too? The kid has been a bit of an assassin himself. He just keeps burying key threes, mostly from the top of the circle. These Hawkeyes are really, really fun to watch.

If it comes down to a last-second shot, there's not a guy that I wouldn't trust (outside of Woody putting up a 3-ball). Everyone is capable of knocking it down, and just as importantly, everyone believes that he will knock it down.
Even our worst percentage 3pt shooter in the top 8, Clemmons, you know when an outside shot is needed, he'll take it and generally make it. He loves those situations.

Jok's smooth stroke is now backed up by confidence.
His D improvement has been more impressive.

I believe our only real concern will be pg play. Everything else won't be much of a drop off, but the point might be.

He used his guy in the block with that nice hook shot.
I could see that coming, and was going No, No, No, YEAH! There is no shot he doesn't like, but he's been money quite a bit. He took the game over there for a stretch, on both sides of the court. Great to see. Love finally seeing a team with a boatload of shooters. Been a long time coming.

I am liking his D lately... Just wait until he can really dribble drive. He is working on it. It's almost there. And when it shines, lookout! He will be able to create spacing anywhere on the court, at any time, verse any defender.

PJ is a great shooter/scorer, but how does he miss the open bunny, uncontested under the basket, like he did?

Who pissed in your cereal? Iowa won, Jok had a great game, one "bunny" miss isn't going to send him to the guillotine. Take a chill pill, and pull the cobb out of your assk.
