I've been waiting for this too. Hopefully that game comes next Sunday when Purdue comes to town.Truly a pick your poison between Uthoff and Jok. When both guys are on there are few teams that will be able to keep up with Hawks.
Even our worst percentage 3pt shooter in the top 8, Clemmons, you know when an outside shot is needed, he'll take it and generally make it. He loves those situations. If it comes down to a last-second shot, there's not a guy that I wouldn't trust (outside of Woody putting up a 3-ball). Everyone is capable of knocking it down, and just as importantly, everyone believes that he will knock it down.
I believe our only real concern will be pg play. Everything else won't be much of a drop off, but the point might be.I actually don't think there will be a drop off at all next year. Peter, uhl, baer, williams, moss, hutton, jones, cook, wagner, flemming, ellingson. Will be raw, but the talent o,efor sure there and should be able to continue it. We will definitely miss the seniors, but i think the young guns will keep it up. Jok is the next in line of 1st team big 10s next year after gatens, marble, white and uthoff. When was the last time iowa had 5 straight 1st team all big 10s.
I could see that coming, and was going No, No, No, YEAH! There is no shot he doesn't like, but he's been money quite a bit. He took the game over there for a stretch, on both sides of the court. Great to see. Love finally seeing a team with a boatload of shooters. Been a long time coming. He used his guy in the block with that nice hook shot.
We are beginning to see a very versatile game from Peter. Knack for the ball on defense as well. Think he will be a 20 ppg scorer next season.
PJ is a great shooter/scorer, but how does he miss the open bunny, uncontested under the basket, like he did?
