LSU might have been better than us today, but we'll never know.

They shot light out, they were way better. But not letting the players play is an abomination. Just stupid, especially at this level. Put me in the “we need to give players 6 personal fouls” camp. That’s the only way to fix this crap.

At the crucial time we could've made a run, if we were going to, it got derailed by the sequence of horrible calls that ended in the Clark technical.

Who knows what might've happened if it wasn't called?

Who knows what might've happened if the refs didn't insert themselves into the game starting in the 1st quarter?

As it stands, LSU was better on the day, overall, but more competent refereeing changes everything. Everything about the game transpires differently.

LSU is everything that is wrong with college sports. Low class thugs, And the coach is all about her, the kind of coach e drunken loves to hate. There was talk during the SC game that the refs were white and we got the calls. Well the refs crushed any hopes Iowa had of making a run. With that said, LSU played very well and won the game. But they are classless *****.

LSU had an amazing first half shooting the ball. We played most of an amazing 3rd quarter to get us back into the game. Then it was over when the refs decided that they had seen enough of our attempt at a comeback. I’m pretty sure LSU was in the bonus before the first foul was called against them to start the game. Completely forced us to change the way we played early in the game.

This was the worst possible outcome for NCAA women’s basketball. The public discourse on the game isn’t about LSU’s amazing shooting performance. It is about the refs. Some people are calling them incompetent, others are calling them cheats. Either way that can’t be what you want if you’re trying to build this up. If it was just a couple bad calls it would be one thing, but the narrative was set early in the game and continued consistently throughout to the end where they refused to call outright blatant and sustained taunting of one player directed specifically at another.

Even going into halftime, one of the promotions for the halftime show said, “officiating in the 1st quarter”.

Lisa REALLY had to restrain herself in the post game....

She said the refs wouldn't even talk to her during the game... Awful fishy...

Great job of the entire team representing the state of Iowa and most importantly representing YOURSELVES. Kept their mouths shut, Let the replays do the talking.

Anyone with eyes and a brain can watch the numerous replays of the garbage in this game and the sh*tty sportsmanship at the end.

It was a tale of 2 quarters- the 2nd when blondie couldn't miss, and the 4th when trash PG took over the game with midrange jumpers. No D due to poor reffing.

Hats off to the trash LSU program. They deserved to win.

The refs were ass but they were pretty balanced ass. LSU had two starters on the bench while they were raining threes in the first half. We got outplayed and that’s perfectly fine to admit. This is still an amazing season for Iowa WBB.
Without question they are deeper then us, no one is denying that. Take Clark and MC off the floor and we have zero chance in a game like this. And thats just what the refs did......

Honestly I've always thought fouling out as a thing was really stupid. My idea has always been to give 3 free throws if someone fouls having 5 or more fouls.

All this game proved was LSU was deeper. We knew that going in. There is something to say for that but the refs made their depth a lot bigger factor than it should have been and we will never know if Iowa could have hung with them if the refs would have been competent.

It also sucks that LSU shot 30% overall against Miami and then shot 23% from three against va tech and then couldn't miss to save their lives against us. Part of that is our defense was lacking a little but they were also banking in off balance shots as well. It just wasn't meant to be as far as that goes and I wish we knew for sure that was why we lost rather than the refs being a factor but we won't ever get to know that.

If the coaches can’t talk to the officials and aren’t allowed to call them out afterwards, can we at least do an officials post game presser and ask them ourselves?
