I am still digging 10.6.8, love it, question is should I update my software to OS X Yosemite?

Can't remember when it was streamlined but I am on the newest OS X version (Yosemite) and I love being able to send normal texts and make and receive regular phone calls on my MBA. This assuming you have an iPhone or and iPad on the same wifi network. Also the subtle changes like icons, fonts, animations...etc seem smoother and "prettier."
