Been looking at brackets (obviously especially Midwest bracket) and putting more thought into Cinderella teams getting upsets and why. A lot of my own perception is that a "Cinderella team" is a low seeded team that comes out of nowhere and unexpectedly makes some kind of run. SDSU has been talked about A LOT since the selection show. It begs the question, are they really sneaking up on anyone? Seemingly many of these upsets are so shocking because no one sees them coming; but doesn't that play a role in and of itself? If a team like Providence or Iowa is told over and over that they will get beat by this team, doesn't that make them more aware or vigilant and thus undermine the Cinderella magic to sneak up on those teams making the upset tougher to accomplish?
