Make the call.

It was clearly a fumble recovered by Iowa. My wife asked what I was yelling at. She saw the replay, yep fumble.

Mind you this crew called a fumble “down by contact” when 70k in stadium saw a fumble.

Those guys were off that night. They had some bad spots and some nit picky calls, meanwhile letting other stuff go. This play should of been ruled a fumble and let it go to review.

I hate to say it, but the officiating in college football is getting “lazy” and they are relying too much on replay.

I said the same thing. I couldn't believe the broadcast didn't really even comment on it much. There was a clear recovery, so I believe they could have reviewed it and given it to Iowa. The whistle blew as the Iowa player, can't remember who, jumped on it.

I was screaming for the NEZ that they should replay it. Of course no stoppage. Iowa did fall on it pretty much right away and was the only team around the ball if I remember correct.

I couldn't believe they didn't take a look at that. I also believe that on one of the big plays late in that game, the runner/receiver for Wiscy stepped out of bounds well before he reached the line to gain. Sorry, don't remember specifics.

After looking at it several times I don't think it was a fumble and at least not enough to overturn. I think his arm was going forward.

To me, that's clearly not a fumble. The ball was definitely not out prior to his arm going forward.
