Mama Mia

No intention to.
Hate musicals.
Not a big fan of Meryl Streep.
Can only take ABBA in very small doses.
The only movie I can think of that I want to see less than Mama Mia is the sequel to Mama Mia.
I like some musicals.
I like chick flicks.
I like nonfiction movies.
I like lesbian porn with black women.
I hate horseback riding.

One of the most horrible movies ever foisted upon the public.

I’m dialed in to a great flick with my wife and girls. Beats whatever card you’re carrying....

I heard the movie sucked.

I remember when the Broadway show was announced, and telling Mrs nopic that it was the single worst concept for a play I’d ever heard of. Fast forward a year or two, and the CEO gave me a couple tiks to the show as kind of a spot bonus, so we went; it was actually a terrific and entertaining show.

But I took a pass on the movie.

I went to the Broadway show as well. It wasn’t bad at all. I remember the wife wanted to go to the movie. So went to the ticket counter and they said next movie was the sing along crowd. WTF? Walked away.

No doubt, OP went to the sing along. ;)

We saw Mama Mia on Broadway and it was teriffic. People were dancing in the aisles at the end ... The show was like going to an Abba concert with a running theme. My single criticism was that they did not include my favorite ABBA song. (The Piper)

We saw it a couple of years later at the Tropicana in Las Vegas and also sans "The Piper," but it was still teriffic. Different performers, but the same sets and still a great experience.

I have heard that the movie fell a little short ... not as wonderful as the theatrical version, but still good.

In any event, the stage production is wonderful.

I got down on my knee, proposed to my wife (no pic), she said yes, and I took her to Mamma Mia at Hancher. So yeah, I kind of like it.
