A man who police say called for "vigilante justice" after a brawl and shooting in southwest Iowa no longer faces charges.

Prosecutors say the two weapons charges against 20-year-old Liam Whitehouse were dropped because evidence found in his vehicle likely wouldn't hold up in court, the Omaha World-Herald reports. Authorities say Whitehouse made a suspicious Facebook post calling for "vigilante justice" after the Sept. 27 incident outside the home of a Glenwood school principal, Richard Hutchinson.

Mills County Attorney Tricia McSorley says the car search was done without Whitehouse's permission.Glenwood Police Chief Eric Johansen says Whitehouse initially denied officers permission to search the car but later granted it.

There is no public phone listing for Whitehouse. Online court records don't list an attorney for him.
