Today, the MLB Commissioner told the President of
the MLB players union that the players must get
control of the protocol to fight Covid19.

Six teams are not playing tonight due to the virus.
The Marlins, Phils, and Cardinals have players
who have tested positive. It seems that MLB
will have only lasted one week this season.

Manfred is blaming the players for not following
proper protocol. If he would look in the mirror
he would see the clown who dared to even
start the MLB season amidst a pandemic.

he works for the owners

The MLB Commissioner gambled that baseball
could be played in a pandemic and he lost.
The Team Owners pay the salary of Manfred.
He was never prepared for the nastiness of
Covid19.

Youth times don't travel 1000 miles plus a week. They also aren't millionaires who need to hit up the strip clubs or side piece in every city.
Over the past 6 weeks thousands of travel teams have played tournaments all over the country. College summer leagues have been going about the same time. You think dudes on college summer teams aren’t slaying hoes?

They probably only get tested if symptomatic or if they have mild symptoms they lie. MLB is getting tested no matter what.

Miami has the post positives players (18), there was a rumor that all the players went out before the season started. I presume that Manfred made this threat because he's getting reports that players are not isolating.

Threat, factual statement. Tomato, tomata

Ok, so again, thousands (probably tens of thousands) of teams playing around the country with no reported issues. How can they make it work and MLB can’t. There have even been families/fans in attendance at every tournament.

if mlb games were played without a hitch, it would be bad for the narrative

this virus is strange, it pursues church choirs and baseball games but avoids all blm/antifa riots and protests.

They'll get sued if a death or serious injury gets traced back to them. That could be from a player, coach, clubby, or community member. They have deep pockets.
Be rich if you want to stay out of jail. Be poor if you don't want to be sued. It's the same issue NCAA FB, BB, NFL, or any major generating sport faces.

If a little leaguer, high school player, college summer league player or even an independent league player gets it, few care. Now if a MLB player is tested positive thats gold to journalists.

in our little league, we made the difficult decision to not allow our kids to go to the strip clubs after the games... at least until this pandemic gets a bit more under control.

Happening in the Chicago suburbs too.

My eight-year-old nephew is pitching tomorrow and had hookers and blow lined up for the post-game festivities. He's pissed at the coaches.
