To date, we have donated over $35,000 to the Children's Hospital and nearly $20,000 to other worthy charities. We decided to look at the possibility of having an in-person signing in Iowa City with all proceeds going to the hospital and a couple other charities. After talking with several players, and getting very positive responses, we've decided to move forward. The event will take place on March 6th, from 2PM to 4PM at Carlos O'Kelly's in Iowa City. We currently have 9 confirmed guys and several more strong possibilities. While names could potentially change, we currently have Keith Duncan, Matt Hankins, Noah Shannon, Terry Roberts, Keagan Johnson, Arland Bruce, Jestin Jacobs, Tory Taylor and Kaevon Merriweather. Tory and Keith represent Count for Kicks and a portion of the proceeds will go to that organization. Other possibilities are Logan Lee, Mason Richman, Conner Colby, Sam LaPorta, Xavier Nwankpa, Spencer Petras, Charlie Jones, Riley Moss, Jon Waggoner, Jack Campbell and Caleb Shudak. In addition to the guys listed above, Nick Niemann and a couple other current NFL guys may stop by. Several of the guys will also have gear available as well.
In addition to having in-person signers, we will also have several thousand photos from many current and former players available for donations. Sean Purdy will also be in attendance with several of his custom helmets and will be taking orders for anyone that has an interest.
1) The plan is to charge $100 for one signature of every player in attendance. This will include a 16x20 Swarm photo to be used for signatures. Attendees can also bring their own items. Any additional items will be $15/signature. Is $100 a reasonable level for 10-15 signatures with a photo provided? Any other thoughts on how we could structure it?
2) Any thoughts on other logistics.
3) Should we offer a mail option for people that can't attend?
This is a new idea for us but very exciting. If it works well, we may consider doing another signing in the Des Moines area.
Please contact me with any thought either by text at 515-710-7995 or through this thread.
As always, many thanks.
