I particularly like that there is a strong backing for BS to 157 next year. I hope that is decided this spring because Kem is a natural 49.
I think he probably just wants to see a healthy Grothus #1, and then see where he's at with a weight cut #2. Lot of unknowns yet with Brody, but the upside is really good if you're a Hawk fan. We haven't gotten a lot out of the guys currently there, though they aren't chumps, they're just not solid AA candidates to this point.
I thought it was kind of funny Ironside said Sorensen could be #1 or #2 in the country at 157 due to his strength, "funny" because Imart the Undefeated is there at 157! So I'm gonna guess he'd be #2 at best! LOL! But I wouldn't count out Brandon Sorensen against anybody. I've said it many times, I've always felt he had more to give, and just talented in every phase of the sport. He gets his hands on you you're dead meat. He's been our best wrestler since the day he entered the lineup, IMO. If someone could find the relentless side of him, sky's the limit IMO.
I've met Ironside a time or two over the years, great guy and a fabulous announcer and representative for Iowa Wrestling. Tells it like it is and doesn't give a damn whether you like it or not. That's an admirable trait as far as I'm concerned. Or as Jim Gibbons would say..................... no shit!
I've wondered this too.. The 800 AM station signal is very weak.. Hard to pickup outside of Iowa City.
Unfortunately, I think they block those broadcasts on iPhone radio apps. I've
tried to get the KXIC wrestling broadcasts on IHeartRadio and had no luck. It's frustrating. If you subscribe to BTN Plus, I think you could stream most or all of them on an iPhone for only about $10 per month.
