Maryland Iowa line

Heard the line was at 9.5 today. Obviously there are a lot of bettors that think Iowa is overrated.
Or some bettors are simply swayed by the informatics ... and their models tell them that the wind could make the Hawks a little less balanced on O ... which could reduce the number of points scored ... which would drive down what the spread should be. Consequently, the perception could be that the spread was simply too high ... for a myriad of reasons ... but the main one being that folks felt it was more likely to win them money.

At this juncture, I agree with the OP ... a better spread is more in the range between 7 and 10.

I think Maryland sucks. They used emotion aNd luck to upset Texas In the first game of the season. Most saturdays, they are much closer to the team that lost to Tenple 35-14 than the one that snuck up on the Longhorns.

I think Iowa wins by at least two TDs.

I so totally hope you're right. I'm very skeptical of Maryland ... however, I also remember the egg that the Hawks laid at Kinnick last year against Purdue. The better team doesn't always win ... but I sincerely hope it does this Saturday!

There have been a lot of eggs, and the better team doesn’t always win, but I would be shocked if this team did anything close to what the ‘17 team did against Purdue. A tornado, earthquake, hurricane, volcano eruption, and an alien attack could all happen simultaneously at Kinnick Saturday. The ‘18 would still look better than last year’s Purdue game.
