I believe u iowa is going by state law and not people's republic of iowa city mandate.
Thus not required.

My elderly parents are fully vaccinated. They both had break through infections and it knocked them both on their asses.
Their 2 main symptoms: Extreme fatigue & a cough that would not go away.
They got treated & and are doing better each day. The vaccine saved them from a hospital stay or worse, no question about it. Instead, they only had 2 doctor appts as a result of getting infected (first doctor appt was when they got diagnosed; 2nd one was an IV treatment).
Why people joke around or don't take this virus seriously I will never understand. I guess it is going to take them getting sick or losing a loved one.

No mask required in Carver for tonight's women's basketball game. However, I wore one just to avoid the Delta Dental smile cam. Still got a close call.
My parents didn’t have the vaccine. Didn’t need to go anywhere. Cold for a week.
