Matt Canada deserves to be the next head coach at Maryland

Why would he want it? I read where they had a fist fight Tues. at practice. Heard the team has divided into two factions. If I was a coach on that staff I'd be polishing up my resume and get away from this shitstorm
Because its a shot at a Big 10 job. Its not bad like Rutgers with zero hope. Now that Durkin is gone, they will have to pull it together.
I think Maryland should be kicked out of the Big 10.
The board of regents made the decision to keep Durkin seemingly thinking that refusing to use the word ‘toxic’ to describe their appalling boot camp would do the trick. Strength coach Rick Court was allowed to terrorize, abuse and generally humiliate players and Durkin only wanted to see roses wouldn’t hear anything else. Durkin himself was known to be profane and abusive at times.
And, yes, in Durkins one day back, some players felt empowered enough to allegedly beat annother player to the point of a shoulder dislocation.

If PSU didn't get kicked out for the Sandusky Slap, this wont get Maryland booted.
Maryland is a furtle recruiting area and with a good coach could probably make Maryland a pretty good team. Campbell would be able to get better athletes at Maryland then ISU, but I don't think he would take the job. I have heard his name in the NFL rumor mills lately. I think he stays at State till Ohio State or a big boy job like that opens.
I think you gotta clean house. That includes Canada and the entire staff probably the AD too. This mess is can't be fixed with any of original staff still in place. You gotta gut this pig and welcome to the bottom of the B1G for the next 3 to 4 years
This was Canada's first year. If it comes out that he himself is abusive, etc. that is one thing but its pretty hard to say he is much responsible for the culture there that lead to the kids death.
Per talking heads, the best candidates will run from Maryland due to poor leadership in the administration.
