lets look at what he did 1 fair catch at Iowa's 10 yard line, 1 return for 8 yards and the rest were all fair catches. he did exactly what Jackson has done, nothing more.
too many are seeing something that isn't there.
only in your mind Jackson only allowed 1 ['ONE] to roll and that one flew over his head because of the wind and like that has never ever happened in the history of FB at any level. He didn't allow balls to roll 20 yards past him. Seriously, man it's plain as day. Did you actually coach? If you did you A)show how much the game has advanced since the 70s and B) owe some people in Texas an apology.
Thats actually not true at all. The problem with Jackson back there is he's been too indecisive on when to field the ball or not. Numerous times he's decided not to field punts and they've hit the turf and rolled another 10 to 15 yards. While Jackson may be a better choice athletically to advance the ball, he's doesn't seem to be comfortable making a decision when the balls in the air. Vandy at least stopped the bleeding. Baby steps........lets look at what he did 1 fair catch at Iowa's 10 yard line, 1 return for 8 yards and the rest were all fair catches. he did exactly what Jackson has done, nothing more.

but you get benched for turning the ball over. You don't get an A for just catching the ball.
don't recall to many rolling 10-15 yards what I do recall is Jackson catching punts at the 10 yard line and when he didn't catch the ball he let the ball bounce when the defenders were right on top of him and he chose to keep away from the ball so it didn't hit him.
that's playing smart FB,
