Maybe we should run the triple option against Wisconsin?

Lobos holding them to an FG is a real accomplishment considering how well they moved the ball after that catch. (I still think the receiver pushed off the defender but whatever)

Go Lobos!

New Mexico held Wisky to a FG and lead 7-3 near the end of the first quarter. Bob Davie has New Mexico believing. What a great TD drive they had to start the game. KF and staff may, indeed, want to study this game and see what wrinkles they might be able to throw at the Badgers. And I know this is crazy and never would happen, but it would be interesting to install couple of triple option plays for Mansell with pass options off of them. It's pretty clear that trying to execute the same old stuff ain't gonna get it done. That much we do know.

Oh man NM is actually giving Wisk trouble.

It’s like Christmas!

I mentioned this in the off season threads many times. It’s just not the triple option that’s important. It’s running with heavy run personnel (3 TEs) against the 3-4. Straight at them and make those backers have to fight through blockers and tackle all game. That’s how you beat the 3-4. It’s not getting fancy and throwing the ball all over and dinking and dunking. It’s not running wide. Straight at them with heavy run personnel.

I don’t think Stanley running is going to scare anyone.
Stan did run some type of run dominant offense in high school. Not sure if it was triple option. At this level probably better to hold off on running him tho.
Hawks need to go gap scheme and then prove some ability passing the ball to get Wisky.

We could do the Jay Cutler wildcat with Stanley. Just make sure we get two packs of his favorite smokes. I think he's probably a Parliaments guy?

Yeah Iowa should watch this film. The Iowa offensive effort vs Wisconsin last year was horrific thanks to great Wisconsin defense and unprepared/overmatched Iowa offense.
