Mediocrity

I suppose there is plenty of blame to go around. The players are making a lot of mistakes as well. This is just a boring, average Iowa team. Boy, what a terrible game to watch. Ugly.

I contune to be amazed at how below average our offensive line is this year. Because of this, there really aren't any bread and butter running plays we can go to and get consistent results. The offensive production on 1st down is awful.

Mediocre is an upgrade to our performance today. We lost to a bad NW team. There's a reason the game was so hard to watch, it was two bad teams playing football.

What a riddiculous post. First of all I wouldn't call this team mediocre - they are quite bad.

And what players are you talking about? I'm not thrilled with what we have on our coaching staff, but it's not like this team is stacked with talent.

This is a big problem I have with the "Fire everybody" crowd. It's hard to take you seriously

The playbook gets opened up in Ames to beat the clones in ot, why not get bold in league play?

First, I didn't call for any firings. I was simply saying that mediocre seems to be the ceiling for this staff. Secondly, I am talking about game after game, year after year. Believe it or not, Iowa has a pretty good QB who is young but has shown some grit IMHO, a slew of good RB's (would like to see Toren Young more also), good LB's, a decent defensive backfield, 1 potential game changing TE, another solid TE......do I need to go on? I am saying that with the players they have, they could put teams away early or take the game to the opposition instead of hanging on and hoping they will win at the end. If you don't like my opinion, fine. However, you are not required to read it either. It seems a little dramatic to call the post ridiculous.........

No sense of urgency with KF. Every year it appears as if he is coaching not to lose and sneak into the play offs only as a wild card team. This isn't the NFL Kirk!

That makes good sense. You are right to call me dramatic. With all the crazy posts out here today it's easy to assume. I was also using it to be funny and sarcastic since it was a chance to say the team isn't mediocre.

I am VERY surprised the offense has been this bad. I don't understand why Wadley keeps racking up carries. It's bizarre. So I agree the coaches where a negative today, but also never expected this group to be very good with a new QB and holes on the OL
