Mejia wins Zinkin Classic over #20 Campbell

Mejia dropped down to 120 this weekend and he faced off against David Campbell (the guy he faced in the finals as a sophomore). The link includes video of the finals match (thanks again to the Mejia family for getting video).

I got the sense that Campbell wrestled the match of his life and Justin was still just too much for him... Love the way this young man scraps!

LOL During the intros the announcer said that Justin enjoys studying for english and math classes when not wrestling. I wonder if his parents had anything to do with that? Might be a coded message to TnT that the kid is serious about succeeding in college.

Great match. I really enjoyed listening to his mom/aunts/sisters. They are going to fit right in with the Carver crowd. Justin will be a fan favorite. I also loved the tough ride he put on when he needed it. He had the kid broke until he got the 2nd wind from the stoppage.

Campbell is very good he just don't have nothing for Justin
