I find the huge split between the Iowa computer rankings and the polls this year pretty fascinating. You might expect something like this early in the year but this could easily end up with Iowa in the top 20 in the Net and never once appearing in a poll.

Good point. But the NET matters more than the other polls, and what really matters is what you do on the court. And if the Hawkeyes take care of business the next week and finish strong, they are likely to show up at least in the AP Top 25 before the month is out.

What has happened to Iowa State?
Their fall has been precipitous. Defense is still ranked Top 10 but their offense has been abysmal.

The Big 12 is good. Big 10 is also very good at the top, the issue is the Big 12 doesn't have a Nebraska, automatic-win type game for them to reset against.

I am not sad in the least to see them plummet, just will never bring myself to cheer for ISU in anything. If that makes me a bad person, I can live with that.
