Mike Locksley’s emphasis on mental health has left a lasting impact on Maryland football players. As one player highlighted, there high school didn't have lights for Friday nights.

Like the 2019 Minnesota-Maryland game, the Iowa-Maryland game will bring awareness for mental health. #17 Minnesota took down Maryland 52-10. Maryland got payback in OT last season 45-44 against Tanner Morgan and PJ Fleck's Golden Gophers.

How will Maryland handle the pressure, and built-up for this "blackout" game against 5️⃣ Iowa?

Does anyone really think Iowa could fall in a "trap game" after the 24-14 game against Colorado State last week?

Something says, Iowa takes care of this one, up 2-1 in the series. Will the defense hold Maryland 200 yards below their average, like the 2018 game?

Iowa scored 14 points off TOs in the 23-0 shutout. The defense is averaging 14 points basically in Big Ten game after the TWO Pick 6s in the 34-6 home win over IU to kickoff the 2021 Big Ten season.

Scott Dochterman had some great points in today Athletic article.

For me, like with the Iowa-Iowa State win, getting separation would be wise for the Hawkeyes on Friday night.

Iowa 27
Maryland 16

CBS SportsLine likes Iowa:

Iowa 25
Maryland 15

Iowa had a good RB Week 2 to take care of. Iowa can't forget about Maryland's good playmakers on Friday night.

Place it in the funnel Hawks, time to pull another game out in the Big Ten.
