Certainly has not been easy sledding these last couple of years. Pretty much everyone has been dealing with some rough times in one way or another. Although it appears to be another spike, hopefully with better understanding and knowledge, we will be able to beat this crap back and move forward!

Here is wishing EVERYONE a MERRY CHRISTMAS and a safe, healthy, and better New Year!!!

Ironbird beat me to the Merry Christmas post.

MERRY CHRISTMAS to all in the cesspool! I pray this season finds you all healthy and that you are all able to celebrate with loved ones in whatever capacity you are comfortable with. We all have our differences, but here's praying we can come together and celebrate Jesus, and if you're not a believer, celebrate the good things in life. I'm hoping for better days in the future.

We have one thing in common already, our love of the greatest sport and (most of us) love of the Iowa Hawkeye wrestling team.

Enjoy your holidays!

Low key one of the tastiest meats there is. Biggest one we’ve ever trapped by 15lbs. Measured 4’ 1” nose to tail.
Please tell me you leave the tail on after cleaning so I'll know what the heck I'm eating? It used to always freak me out as a kid when some of my cousins would bring over some of their fresh kills with the paws cut off. I've got some back woods cousins on my daddy's side. Lord only knows what all those hillbillies have eaten.

I'm with you Coach! I'm one of those guys that just likes plain old meat and potatoes. Then one day we had a fundraiser in a little hometown/downtown bar, and late in the day some friends of mine who knew I was a bit "squeamish" about food suggested I try some of this battered deep fat fried stuff. Didn't know what it was but I like battered deep fat fried stuff so I gave it a shot (basically I was half drunk and hungry and said what the hell...........).

In this particular case, turns out it was Rocky Mountain Oysters, and one of the best damn things I've ever ate! And there was no way in hell I would have tried it knowing what I was about to eat! Haven't changed my ways, but it worked out great that one time. Ha!

Wait!! Are you telling me there's a place up there I can get Rocky Mountain Oysters???? Batter fried? Shut your mouth! If you like them that way, you should try them smoked and grilled. Gives you a whole new appreciation of good eating...... I grew up on a pig farm. NOTHING goes to waste. The world may have taken me out of the country, but it'll be a cold day in hell before I allow it to be taken out of me.

That’s the only way I prepare them. Well, I’ll marinate them in soy and garlic overnight first. To die for!

It would be blaphsemous to leave the tail on. That's used for beavertail soup, after you remove the tail leather to make wallets.😉
