He didn't have freaking brain surgery for nothing. Damn, not like he is making this up.
He had a cyst drained in 2014. Then maybe for the sake of himself, his family and OSU he should hang it up. He still operates in the shadows in my perception.
Seems like he is setting up a narrative for an exit.
I love when people say “word on the street” when they really mean to say, based on what I read from some random dude on Twitter.
Is this the job that Campbell is holding out for? I know what he said before but that was approximately a week before camp started.
That involved cutting into his skull. That was not like having your knee drained.
A reminder that no matter who you are ... no one is invincible when it comes to your well being. I hope he gets his health issues in check ... Don't wish that on anyone ...
I live in Columbus, Ohio and LuteHawk is correct. Urban is loved by most fans and the University’s governing body did NOT want to even suspend him. (One board member has resigned in express protest. ) Word is that the OSU president insisted that something be done. However, people are increasingly realizing that the piddling 3 week suspension ( which was in fact not truly for 3 weeks ) negatively reflects upon the acedemic integrity of the school. Whether the school will actually cut the cord is unknowable.... football means a ton around here. However, OSU does not need Urban to be an elite program. The Iowa State coach would certainly get a close look if Urban leaves. LuteHawk probably understands how crazy it is to live with all the Buckeye obsessed fans living around here!!!
You don't need Urban to be elite.....but I'd prefer if you weren't, irregardless.

Don't presume I am an Ohio State fan. If your job caused you to move to Ann Arbor, would you be a Michigan fan? How about Omaha? State College? I certainly would not hang around this site and read your posts if I were not a Hawkeye fan.... I also would not have traveled to Central PA (and sat in the rain last Saturday afternoon), if I was not an alumni and fan of Iowa. Assuming makes an...X... of you.
Wouldn't wish health problems on anyone, hope he's not struggling with a health issue. That said, his last health issue coincided precisely with Tim Tebow's graduation/departure from UF.
Pretty sure his departure from Florida had nothing to do with health issues or Tim Tebow.

I think "holding out for" is a pretty strange way to put it, considering that as far as anybody knows, he hasn't been offered another job, much less turn one down. I don't think he even has an agent.
Not saying he wouldn't go. It would be very difficult for a coach at ISU or just about anywhere else to turn down the job at tOSU.
And it wouldn't be the first time. Earle Bruce went from Ames to Columbia. So, as OC, did Tom Herman. Gene Smith was the AD at ISU and is now the AD at tOSU, but he had a stop at Arizona State in between.

We’ve established that Meyer isn’t the most honest individual around.
I'm a Hawkeye, living in Columbus, pull against them every game. Campbell would be in the top 3, if not the favorite because of his ties to Ohio. Would expect a nation wide search, but Campbell can't be discounted unless a big name pops up.
Maybe two thirds of your roster showing up on police plotters around the state of Florida might cause some health issues
Well my point still stands for any actual Buckeye fans lurking, so it is what it is.
