Long ways away from 2019 signing day but assuming PMac stays home, it has the potential to be one of the finest recruiting classes in program history.
His tape struck me as more skill than explosion, which is probably why as a Kentucky native he's not being pursued by the local big names. At his position, Marcus Watson appears to be more attractive. But diamonds in the rough are Fran's business...
On Kentucky boards, they say he is a skilled passer and has decent handles and post up moves. The concern is if he is athletic enough to guard the 3. He is playing post now, but maybe playing out of position at 6'6". He can shoot a 3 ball when open.
He sounds like the prototype 3/4 Fran likes, if he grows to 6'8", which is possible given his age. Supposedly, Pitino lost interest when he saw him go against a top prospect in person, but a few fans think it is still possible Kentucky would offer him

McCaffery's ability to find those rough diamonds has served us well up to now. I am hoping that soon, we are able to draw the truly elite players rather than have to develop our own.
