Michigan beats Purdue

Nah, they're good wins no matter what happens to them. Good for them as a squad psyche, screw Purdue's rating.
Iowa just needs to keep winning basketball games. I'm thinking (fingers crossed hoping) Iowa goes 15-3 at worst to finish out conference play. That's pretty damn good, especially since they weren't even projected in the top half of the B1G this season.
Everyone worries about seeding in the tournament. Seeding is marginally important. It's all about how tough your bracket is, if you're playing well at the end of the season, and is there an upset or two that helps make your path for a deep run in the tournament a little easier. We've seen plenty of #1 seeds over the years get beat in the 2nd round or Sweet 16. We've also seen a handful of #2 seeds get beat in the 1st round while low seeds make it to the Elite 8 and Final Four.
In short, I'm most concerned with how Iowa is playing come March than I am about how other teams we've played earlier in the year are doing.

Relax, if those wins are diminished, the Michigan win is better. They are both tourney teams.
That would be great! It's what I'm rooting for and think it's certainly possible!
Painter is one of the worst in-game coaches in the B1G. Good guy, excellent recruiter, and seems to run a clean program, but he never seems to make adjustments during a game.
