I wish the B1G would have established a minimum number of games played to be eligible for the title. It doesn't seem right Michigan could miss as many games as they did and still be the regular season champion.Illinois has to be pissed. Finished 16-4 to Michigan’s 14-3 and Michigan gets the conference

Great idea!MSU likely locked up a bid. Drake is gonna be sweating hard this week. If I were them, I’d schedule a neutral site game with fellow bubble team SLU this week and see what happens.
I know your being tongue in cheek here. Howard is a heck of a coach and not a douche like some of his peers who would lower his team to do something like that....Didn't watch any of the game, but I would have to assume that the powers that be in the B1G office gave JH a call and encouraged him to do what it takes to make sure that MSU and Izzo get an NCAA bid...
GoodIllinois has to be pissed.
Good

Agreed. Michigan should not be allowed the title.
You’re absolutely correct.no. It’s not. At the end of the day it has to be about the student athletes.
This sets a horrible example. Fixing this (declaring co-champs) would not hurt anyone while not fixing it would unnecessarily and unfairly penalize student athletes who earned that recognition.
It’s hard for me to understand how the executive staff at the premiere college athletic conference in the nation could be so incompetent. It’s really unbelievable.
Even before Michigan's loss today I've said in multiple other threads that if Iowa wins out, winning the BTT while beating ILL and MICH along the way, I don't see how the Committee could explain away Iowa NOT getting a #1 seed. They would basically have to say that they completely ignored the BTT, and that Iowa losing to Indiana 6 weeks earlier was a more important factor.does it open the door to iowas path to #1 seed?
if Iowa sweeps to BTT, Iowa has >. overall record the ILlinois, and the same marquee win over MI, with out having the advantage of playing ILlinois at cha.

Agreed the world is bizarre. Not sure it’s changed much in how things work but quite a bit more transparency than there used to be and the ugly side of fairness gets exposedAfter reading several posts like yours, I realized that this is absolutely the perfect thing for the B10 to do. It's teaching the students--and all of us--how arbitrary everything is now. It's not quite up-is-down, but there is a hell of a lot of compromising of principles ... and rules ... and laws ... and whatever comes after that. The world is bizarre.
You’re absolutely correct.
That said...I can’t seem to generate much sympathy for the Illini. Never have liked them much.

I was thinking maybe ILlinois jumps Michigan after the tMSU loss? And thenmfallEven before Michigan's loss today I've said in multiple other threads that if Iowa wins out, winning the BTT while beating ILL and MICH along the way, I don't see how the Committee could explain away Iowa NOT getting a #1 seed. Let's hope we get to find out if I'm right or wrong.
If Iowa can sweep, will have a better overall than illinois, and maybe the committee sees that and saved the last #1 for IL, Mi Or iowa if Iowa wins BTT, and swaps seeds with IllinoisEven before Michigan's loss today I've said in multiple other threads that if Iowa wins out, winning the BTT while beating ILL and MICH along the way, I don't see how the Committee could explain away Iowa NOT getting a #1 seed. Yeah. The glow of the supposed "Michigan invincibility" we kept hearing about two weeks ago seems to have lost its luster suddenly. The Spartans get the upset. Wow.
I couldn't care less how the Illini feel. They slinked by a CJ-less Iowa in Champaign-Urbana. They might be good but they had a favorable schedule and a HELL of a lot of luck. They suck.no. It’s not. At the end of the day it has to be about the student athletes.

I'm excited to see what he screws up next.the sole “big ten champs” finished .5 games behind Illinois in the final standings.
Warren is a walking clusterf*ck.

Not so sure about Howard not being a “douche.”I know your being tongue in cheek here. Howard is a heck of a coach and not a douche like some of his peers who would lower his team to do something like that....
