The last time I can remember an Iowa basketball team that could score at will and yet defend when they needed to was Ralph Miller's six pack from 69 to 71. Chad Calabria at point, "downtown" Freddy Brown at the off guard, Dick Jensen at C, Glenn "Stick" Vidnovic at small forward, and JJ Johnson at PF. This group, in my mind, was the finesr offensive Iowa bb team in history and yet could shut down the other team with their full-Court D when it was needed. The defensive side was led by Calabria and "Stick" who usually drew the other team's top scorer. Glenn could really guard at 6-5 and only 170 pounds. After big wins in the field house, the pep band would play "Nah, nah, nah, nah....hey, hey. hey.......good..........bye !!! And of course "Z"......Jim Zabel on the PBP. Fun times. 😎❤🏀
