this game is going to be like attacking our own defense.

Now that Daniels is back I feel like we should use him as the primary hammer, if we can open some creases along the interior. If we can get the LBs edging toward the run game on early downs, then we can challenge their LB with Vandeberg and Kriger Coble.

Hopefully they have to shade a safety upfield because if we get Tevaun in single coverages, he's ready for a big game. He's got to be at 100% now.

And using Hilyer as a receiving option against Indiana will give Tevaun more space.

I like where we're at. We have receiving options at all levels. The running game has been solid, and Beathard has made solid decisions before and during plays.

The one thing we know is that the crowd will push this team, and this will be a max effort game.

The weakside lead draw has re-surfaced. Gives the play time to develop and gets the back attacking the LOS. Punishes the defense for aligning to formation strength to stop izzy/power/outside zone. Also compliments PA pass nicely. Ladell Betts lived off this play.

weakside lead draw...great idea. It's running to the strength of our interior OL, and with the way we utilize V in the slot this play is well suited to work.

A successful head coach I met said his philosophy was to attack the opponent's strengths.

Balance. CJ looks better from a mobility standpoint and I don't think teams can just load the box otherwise CJ will kill them. Keep mixing it up and stay balanced. Defense make their QB have to win it with his arm. I am looking for a good run defense this week.

Yeah, Minny lost 27-0 to Northwestern, 48-25 to Neb, 29-26 to Mich and 28-14 to OsU. I think we match up well.

I think there is a sense that they've played some of the better teams on their schedule close. TCU/tOSU/Mich. However... they lost all those games. What would make their fans think this week will be different?
They manage to find ways to lose games. The game this week comes down to revenge for last years debacle in TCF. King with two picks, Wadley with 125, Hawks wins easily!

I don't think we have to do anything different than we've been doing. We won games at the los. We need the oline to be consistent and in sync. We need the dline to hold the los and be technically sound. If those things happen, Minnesota can't beat us. I think the combination of wadley, Daniels and some canzeri will be very effective and we'll see another game where we run for near 200 yards and put up around 450 total offense. I think Minnesota is ripe for a letdown and we're poised to put an ass whipping on somebody. I think we see it Saturday night.
