i just got home and havent watched much of the game, but going by the score,mnnesota doesnt make me nervous.if anything, it makes me think Iowa can take Ohio State

The OSU offense was starting to get going with JT and then he decided to go out and get drunk and make bad decisions. This OSU team just can't get any momentum going despite being the most talented team in the nation and that will be a huge benefit for Iowa if we end up playing them come December

It will be a tough game. Minnesota has been playing solid D these past few weeks.

Furthermore, they must have gotten back some of their injured guys on the OL ... because they've been blocking better on the OL lately too.

The Gophers have ridden the emotioal retiring of Coach Kill and it wasn't enough to get any upset wins. Now it is time for reality to set in when they come to Kinnick. We will win this game in a big way, and I will give you several reasons why.
1.) REVENGE!!! They beat us badly last year and we have had this game circled on the calendar for some time.
2.) FLOYD OF ROSEDALE!!! It would be going in our trophy case this year. It's our pig anyway and we want it back!
3.) PRIMETIME!!! We are back under the lights, big stage, breaking out our alternate uni's, and at home with a sellout crowd.
4.) ON A MISSION!!! This team has heard all the naysayers and lack of respect from the national media. They have already won back the fan base and have a goal of winning out. They are seeing the light at the end of the tunnel and are keeping focused and doing whats needed to win.
5.) NEW KIRK!!! Biggest lie of the season. Same ol' Kirk! Just refocused after taking a look at himself in the mirror. He knows he is coming to the twilight of his career and wants to go out on top and under his own terms by 2020. You can see the difference in recruiting and philosophy. B1G and National Coach of the Year candidate.
Okay, so I went a little above and beyond on why we beat Minny, but the reality is Minny just really isn't that good even though they have had a couple of good showings against Michigan and OSU and there's no more gas left in that tank.Now that Kill is gone, they're return to being a bottom feeder is just around the corner.

I'm guessing it will be similar to the last two games. A win, but ugly and not stress free. Purdue should be a little easier. Nebbie will likely be a dogfight.

The east leaders are beating teams as bad as the west leaders. No reason to believe we won't beat same ones any less. We have a 2 td win against minny. Easy on the mind and heart...no...but we'll get it done!
