Missouri covid cases 23 times higher than thought

It has been suggested by scientists that in the early weeks and months that our testing was so poor that the actual number of infected was 10 to 50(!) times more than our confirmed cases. If that’s true we could easily have 40M to 50M already infected.

Mire importantly, it wound mean when 20k a day were testing positive, maybe 400k were becoming infected. That would make our current 50k, or Fauci’s feared 100k, seem not so disastrous. So long as the daily death rate doesn’t start to rise.

I read yet another article earlier that we are way closer to herd immunity than we thought.

If true is it really so bad that young numbers continue to go up? Let the lowest risk group acquire the virus at the highest % and the at risk groups may not have to be sequestered as long as thought.
