Mitch McConnell is a real life supervillain

Truly amazing what a Santa Barbara house painter that raged against paying taxes and carrying worker's comp insurance can become solely because he excels at creating pablum of three-word phrases out of complex and nuanced issues.
He probably saw what rush limbaugh was doing, so while I say he's an idiot, he probably has some business sense.

Elections have consequences...

F Obama for his ramming shit down the Republican throats. He got everything he deserved. He was a very skilled orator with a very big mean streak embedded in him. He smooth talked you while he was picking your pocket. Trump just tweets he's going to steal your wallet and dares you to stop him.

I honestly don't know how we ever get back to bipartisan coalition.

Not for awhile I'm sure, maybe not ever, but a start would be for people to vote the law and their conscience and be willing to lose their seat in the process of doing what's right not politically right. Term limits?

He also admitted that he is coordinating with white house to rig the trial. Just crazy how blatant and out of control. They don't even have to hide what they do because they are a cult.

I feel like this isnt normal, but by just casually saying it on national TV, they can pretend there is nothing wrong with it.

It's a new landscape. We have been so overwhelmed by the malfeasance with lack of consequences for said malfeasance that everyone is desensitized.

I mean just 48 hours ago, the sitting president of United States accepted punishment thereby admitted he misused funds raised by the Donald J. Trump Foundation to promote his presidential bid and pay off business debts and as part of the settlement, the sitting US president paid eight charities a total of $2 million. As part of the settlement, his three children who were officers of the foundation — Eric Trump, Donald Trump Jr. and Ivanka Trump — were ordered to undergo mandatory training to ensure they do not engage in similar misconduct in the future.

This would have been a scandal of the ages if such a thing had happened under Reagan or Bush or Clinton or Bush or Obama.

In 2019, it was nothing. It's truly incredible.

I've said it before and will say once again, history won't focus on Trump. It will focus on the GOP and the Senate/Representative enablers who let this conduct go on at the extreme detriment to the country and office.

Clear signposts of the moral decline of perhaps the greatest nation of modern western civilization. For conservatives, the damage done to the country and our governance is justified by the results, political control is priority #1 uber alles.

The funny thing is the conservatives claim it's the liberals dragging down our society because liberals recognize women's health rights and are diligent about keeping a clear separation between government and religion. Our society currently might be the dumbest on the planet, everyone thinks they're starring in the greatest reality show ever conceived. Welcome to Trollville, USA.

The mental acumen of the average GOPpie has taken a huge hit since the Republicans rolled out their big tent strategy...and lurched to the right rather than moving to the middle.
We're all prone to a sales pitch, especially those rooted in self-affirmations and/or fear-based arguments. And we're all prone to pridefulness—and the stubbornness that goes with it.

And we're also responsible for who we pitch to. The GOP chose to go after the rotten fruit lying on the ground. That's on them.
