I remember being in Jacksonville talking to Tennessee fans before the Iowa vs Tennessee game and they all were saying that he would be there for years. They kept saying he would bring them back to the top of the SEC.

He had a good run recruiting, but just couldn't get it done in the SEC. I don't know who they get for his replacement, but damn have they fallen hard. I mean what 3 years ago they looked like world beaters vs us and now they are getting curb stomped by Mizzou of all teams.

Jones was under contract through Feb. 28, 2021. He’ll be owed a buyout in excess of $8 million, although he’s required to seek comparable employment to mitigate the damages.
