If you want McCollum as the next Iowa coach as much as I do, how can you not watch?
If they win tonight, I’ll likely drive down for Saturday.
It’ll be a fascinating matchup. It’s a total mismatch athletes-wise. Drake will do what they do to occupy 25 seconds of every shot clock and hope to outwork them on the boards.

I saw a WVU article on their search and McCollum was number 1 on their list. We'll see.
Rumor earlier today was he’s shot them down. Their On3 reported Chester Frazier and Jerrod Calhoun were emerging as the front runners for the position

McCollum's coaching of basic fundamentals is very impressive and proven over many years of high end basketball but I have a feeling this game will not be that close. I'm not sure they have enough scoring ability to win and I dont they have played against this level of athleticism. I think they will struggle to score but who knows we'll see
Even if it’s not close, it should not be a negative reflection on McCollum’s ability to be successful at Iowa.
I will say that to have any chance, they need Mascari to break out of his shooting funk. Without it, Mizzou will likely do everything they can to stop Stirtz and they have the athleticism to do it.

SG: Mascari - 3 and D streaky shooter
G: Jackson - all D, no O
PF: Abreau - 2nd best player
C: Manyawu - good rebounder but foul machine
PF/C: Banks - best athlete and O rebounder
G/F: Howard - all energy freshman
G: Combs - Jackson’s role but better offense
All the starters besides Manyawu are the NWMS guys. Stirtz and Mascari won’t come off the floor.

Have to admit, I haven’t been this excited in March in awhile…😉looking forward to watching my (adopted) team play some salty defense as well. 😎
