Sorry if already posted. A comment from Peter King on Monday Morning QB.

"Iowa’s Kirk Ferentz is one of the best football coaches at any level, and I don’t just say that because of the 55-24 wipeout of Ohio State. Parents who have high school prospects should want to send their kids to play for Ferentz, and not just for the winning. He wins, he loses, he develops people."

I agree with the recruits or parents of recruits should want to play for or send their kids to play for him. I have said as much many times. As fans, our main beef is game day coaching and maybe some overall recruiting prowess. But not sure either should be huge selling points to a recruit.

But as far as a developmental program top to bottom, and putting players in the league, hard to find a better program. As far as a running a clean program, and being an overall great guy, and parents can feel good sending their kids to play for him, again, hard to find one better. Also, coaching consistency, we’ve had what, 2 head coaches in 38 years, that is crazy in today’s world of coaching. All should be really important to a recruit when evaluating a program, and Iowa is a 5* program in those terms.

I think it's close to 40 years now isn't it? 78 or 79 for HF?
