The Leftist pinheads at Gannett, NY Slimes, IC Press-Citizen, DeM Moines Register (rags such as
those) have targeted Citizens United with their typical rantings, thereby steering low information types into fits of anger; (you know the typical liberal media, slimey playbook)

Yet...............If Citizens United lets "millionaires and billionaires" money "rig" elections, why's Jeb out?

Why has Bernie recently out raised Hillary?

You realize there are more candidates playing with the same donations correct? Hillary is easily just as funded as Jeb was.
Do your homework.

You have proof of that? You do realize Obama spent the most the past two elections correct? It's not about just what you spend, it's about who donates to you and most importantly, who has your back.

If Citizen United is overturned than I guess the candidates can go on the corporate speech tour like Hillary.

The irony lost on the OP is that a big part of why Trump and Sanders have a groundswell is because of the widespread reporting of Citizens United and the sense that the two parties (and hence our democracy) are being hijacked by special interest groups.

Citizens United has nothing to do with Trump's success.
 
The problem the Dems have with Citizens United is that they believe it stands in the way of their aquisition of power. However, the irony is that in this election cycle it is the Dems that appear to be aided by the decision. But, what the hell, it's red meat for their low information voters.

The mainstream media still has the largest influence on elections - but their stranglehold on the message is continuing to slip. Things like citizens united are a threat to their message monopoly and will therefore always be attacked by them.

If we had term limits, would corporations spend MORE or LESS to fund/buy elections and candidates?

Still, " citizens united" was a poor decision by the SC. There is no way in hell corporations were ever intended to have the same rights as "we the people." Quite simply, if they were, the FF would have made reference to businesses and their rights when they wrote the document.
This decision, unless rescinded, will do more to destroy the rights of individual citizens than any other SC decision...including Dred Scott.

Simple answer why the Dems want CU gone.

8 of the top 11 donors were Democrat slush funding groups. SEIU, NEA, UAW etc. Life was good when the only people bribing candidates were the Unions bribing dems. It's easier to follow when you're only beholden to one type of group.

Maddow did a while thing on it. Didn't even disguise it. Had charts and everything.
