So apparently Isaiah is looking for a new landing spot again and is reexamining his options. Is coming back to Iowa a possibility or has the program and the fanbase moved on at this point in time?

I never thought Arkansas was a great fit for him anyway, but they probably feel a bit snubbed at this.

Maybe Moss thinks Kansas might be a better spot. KU will be dominant in the paint, but their guard court mostly didnt return.

KU? Hard to believe that they won't have some 4 or 5* guys ready to go. But, if he could play at Kansas, that would be a great opportunity for him.

No way he would start at KU. It was doubtful at Arkansas... Hate to say it, but the guy made a bad decision.

I think that IM would be welcomed back to Iowa. But his starting spot would be up for grabs. He'd have to earn it.

If somehow Fran could convince Moss to return this would be the best recruit of 19/20. It is 50/50 at best but certainly things have changed opportunity wise since he decided to leave his team.

Dana Altman syndrome. You get down there and prepare to settle in and then you realize that you have committed to the cast from Deliverance.

Have you even been to Fayetteville? Pretty cool town actually. Now other parts of the state could be mistaken for Deliverance.

I still think Moss looks like a jackass. Its like he just wanted to save face by leaving, but really did not know what he was looking for. IMO.

If IM decommitted from IA to AR, then decommitted from AR to come back to Iowa, you’d obviously have to be very leery of the stability of his commitment. He’d be valuable at Iowa, but would he be satisfied with his role, and how would that affect the team?

Then, if Evelyn commits, would Moss decommit again, even though both could play in the same lineup? If he commits, Evelyn might be the better bet at team stability, and could play both guard spots. Modern recruiting is a hair-puller, with lots of bald fans.

I would guess the ship has sailed on Moss from both sides. Very much doubt he’ll be back at Iowa no matter what. If he wanted to be the man, his choice to leave turned out to be very foolish.

If I had to choose I'd take Moss over Evelyn.

Sure Evelyn can play point but so can Toussaint, CJ and Connor.

Moss can gives minutes at the 2 or 3 and provides better 3 point shooting.

That said, I think Moss is gone and Evelyn will give decent depth.

So Moss’s dad said he left Iowa because he wanted to be one of the top 2 go to guys on the team. Even at Arkansas looked to be 3rd option and at best and be lucky if that at KU.

Just because Moss is under the delusion he can transfer to Kansas, I find it almost unbelievable that Self would even consider him. If he does land there, then Kansas's loss will be Iowa's gain. Moss plays with a lack of desire while on the court. He only gives an effort when he is trying to throw up a 3. Otherwise, he justs walks or stands around perimeter doing nothing for the offense (i.e., not setting picks or creating assists).

One the defensive side he doesn't even exist. It's almost laughable how he will do everything possible to get out of the way of opponents driving to the basket...letting someone like Garza pick up a foul trying to defend the basket from someone that drove around Moss.

It is possible that his summer classes might not be going to good. Doesn't he have to graduate to transfer without setting out a year?
He already redshirted so he can't sit out a year. If he leaves Iowa without graduating he will be done playing DI. I suppose there is always a possibility of a waiver, but I'm not sure what his argument would be.

I dont think we can criticize Moss for wanting to accept an opportunity at the likes of Kansas. It's not like he would be going there as a walkon, so the feeling must be mutual.

One could argue that Moss might feel he didnt progress under the Iowa coaching staff.

Why does he not just pick a mid major and be done with it, trying to go laterally or UP is not the answer.

KU fan here who just so happens to like the Hawkeyes as well. KU is looking for 3 point shooting and in KU's offense we usually have a wing that pretty much is asked to knock down stand still jump shots. That would be Moss's role IMO. With KU having Udoka Azubukie and Silvio DeSousa on the inside and Devon Dotsons ability to get to the hoop anytime he wants the thought is Moss would get a lot of open looks on the perimeter. Problem is that if he does not play better D then he did for Fran he will not see the court for Self. KU is also expected to land former Michigan commit Jalen Wilson who is announcing this Wed. That would be another player for Moss to compete with for minutes.

Good luck this year to the Hawkeyes.

I guess I just am not following the logic. At a place like KU, his role would be, at best, a shell of what it was at Iowa (maybe 80% of the minutes?). I thought he was looking for a bigger role in the offense?

If Moss doesn't transfer to Iowa (highly unlikely IMO), the only other school he must not choose is Minnesota ! I remembered that another poster previously mentioned his big game at MN so I looked up his stats for games there and they were impressive.

Isaiah's career scoring average is around 9 ppg but at Williams Arena he played like an All- American...….
2016-17 … 7-12 FGA, 3-5 3PT FGA, 19 PTS, 2nd highest season total (21 vs, Stetson @CHA)

2017-18 … 12-18 FGA, 4-7 3PT FGA, 32 PTS, season high

2018-19 … 8-14 FGA, 6-10 3PT FGA, 23 PTS, season high

Cumulative stats: 27-44 FGA (61.4%), 13-22 3PT FGA (59.0%), 74 PTS (24.7 ppg)

Something about Williams Arena that sparked Moss to excel far above his average game. OTOH, maybe he just got psyched to play the Gophers because he did have another good performance in his only CHA matchup vs. MN (5-10, 4-6, 16pts - 1/18/18). Still, those are crazy stats for that venue.

I am totally guessing, but when some guys transfer out they are confident they can thrive in another program.....thinking another coach will be able to use their talents better.

Fran didnt do a good job of keeping everyone engaged on the floor within the offense. Other coaches will run plays to get a guy like Moss scoring instead of having him get lost for periods of time.

Power to him I guess. KU had a ton of their guards leave, so the minutes are there. They are different in that their post players will dominating with a lot of the offense running thru them.

What if the player fails to execute the plays you are running for him? Leave him in or take him out?
