I hope he has a great last season at KS but I’ll be shocked if he gets more minutes or shots than he did at Iowa. Never know with a new system snd new point guard tho.

Looking at the KU roster, looks like he has 2 4*s, a 3* and a couple of walkons to beat out to get PT.

Looks like his PT will be based on if his 3 pt shooting out weighs his turnovers, average passing and average defensive effort.

Hoping he does well but I don't see him getting what he is wanting there.

He had all the minutes he could handle at Iowa if he performed. Fran wanted him to be a star

I think he can fit in really well with them. I am guessing he has a chance to start if he shows he can play defense because Marcus Garrett on their team, despite being a great defender) is a horrible shooter, just dreadful. I could see their starting lineup being
Dotson
Agbaji
Moss
DeSousa
Azubuike

I bet that's the starting lineup too. Garrett might be the worst shooting guard I've seen at the P5 level. Well, him and Gottlieb.

I am curious to see how he performs at Kansas. It allows us, as fans, to see how a good player for us can perform on a great team with a great proven coach.

I wouldn’t call Kansas a great team by any means.

And I would substitute a “proven coach” with a “proven cheater.”

I don’t think people are realizing what really good pg’s allow shooters and scorers to do. IM, JBo & TC were asked to do things, while some what willing to do, weren’t /are not really their strengths, which is handle the Ball and facilitate the offense. With IM not having much responsibility but to move and get open to shoot he has a chance to just be a shooter on offense.. that’s it! That will be good for him.

I hope Iowa will have really good pg’s one day that will be able to highlight everyone they play with strengths and make their team mates better.

What player from last years team can we say, hey, when this guy was on the court everyone’s game went to the next level and strengths were highlighted???

Moss had 13 games last year where he took 6 of fewer shots when averaging 24 minutes per game. He also had 11 games were he made only 1 shot or less. There were only 13 games when he attempted more than 3 three-point shots and 13 games where he didn't hit one.

He also had great games where shot and made a lot. Just terribly inconsistent.

I like Moss but he could be frustrating. At a place like KU, he will only be asked to do his small role. Iowa needed him to do more and he showed flashes but they were too brief. I could see him flourishing there as a shooter who is not asked to drive to the hoop but he also may disappear there. We will see. I hope he has a good season. He may be a better addition to KU then he is a loss for Iowa. Iowa has some shooting, they need defense and ball handling. It will be interesting to see how he does.

I don't see him having better numbers or more PT at Kansas than he had at Iowa.

He will be playing with numerous 4* & 5* players that will need to have the ball and get their shots to be visible for their NBA future

Moss will have a role on this team as a shooter but honestly if he doesn’t play better defense than he did at Iowa he won’t play at all for Self. I don’t think he starts. Even though Garrett is a terrible shooter he does everything else well and is probably a top 3 perimeter defender. Agbaji is a projected lottery pick and will start. Then we are the heavy favorites for Jalen Wilson and I think he would start over Moss. I see Moss coming in as a sub playing 15-18 minutes a game to make shots. He should get plenty of open shots with Udoka and Silvio in the paint. I will also say that it doesn’t matter if you are a 4 star 5 star or 3 star KU plays team basketball. KU rarely has guys average over 18-20pts a game. Self’s best teams are teams that have balance. Good luck to the Hawks this year. The Hawkeyes are the team I follow outside of KU
